Mount Hasan

Mount Hasan is a volcano in Anatolia, Turkey. It has two summits, the 3,069 metres high eastern Small Hasan Dagi and the 3,253 metres high Big Hasan Dagi, and rises about 1 kilometre above the surrounding terrain.

Culture and history

Ascend Mt Hasan summit with our ski. Arrived on the top we’re rewarded with a panoramic view all around the volcano after a nice skiing descent to Halvadere village, our bus drives us to Mt. Taurus range. Arrive in Çukurbağ village and install in a guest house.

Early in the morning our minibus drives us at departure point depending of the snow level. With our ski, we hike up to Eznevit plateau situated at 2538m. Then you can choose the ascend (easy) the Kayasaray peak (3200m). It offer a nice possibility to descend with ski.

Ascension of the (optional) Mount Embler giving a panoramic view on all the Taurus range. Descent in the pass of Çelikbuyduran (3450 m) and picnic nearby a spring of cool water. Splendid descent across the valley of Karayalak dominated by Demirkazik (3756 m), main summit of Taurus. Installation of the camp in the basic camp of Sokullupinar.
